Bulk Operations

Bulk operations change many clients at once. Only owners and admins of the MSP can run them.

Every operation follows the same steps:

  1. Preview. You see what changes in each client before anything changes. Clients where there is nothing to do appear as skipped, with the reason.
  2. Confirm. The operation runs in the background, one client at a time.
  3. Result. Follow it in MSP console → Bulk operations. Open an operation to see each client as done, with an error or skipped, with the reason. You can retry the clients that failed.

Only one operation can run at a time, and you can run up to 20 a day. A preview that you do not confirm expires after 24 hours.

Import domains from a CSV

Add domains to many clients with one file. In MSP console → Bulk operations, click Import domains and choose a CSV with two columns, client and domain:

client,domain
Acme Corp,acme.com
Acme Corp,acme.es
Globex,globex.com
  • Clients that do not exist yet are created with that name.
  • The file can have up to 5,000 rows and 2 MB. You can import up to 10 files a day.
  • The preview lists the rows that cannot be imported, for example invalid domains, repeated rows or domains that already exist.
  • The preview warns you if the import goes over your domain or client limit. Domains are created up to the limit. The rest fail, and you can retry them after you free space.

Templates

Save alert and digest settings once in MSP console → Templates, and apply them to the clients you choose:

  • Alert template: sets the compliance threshold of the client.
  • Digest template: creates a scheduled digest in the client.

Applying a template copies the settings into each client. Later changes to the template do not change clients where you already applied it; apply it again to update them.

Team and webhooks

In MSP console → Clients, select clients and open Bulk actions:

  • Invite to clients: invites one person to all the selected clients with the role you choose. They receive one email with every client and accept them all with one click. Only the owner of the MSP can invite admins.
  • Remove from clients: removes the direct access of one person to the selected clients and cancels their pending invitations. Access through the MSP does not change. Only the owner of the MSP can remove admins. The owner of a client cannot be removed, and you cannot remove yourself.
  • Add webhook to clients: adds the same HTTPS webhook to the selected clients. Each client gets its own signing secret, which you see in the webhook settings of that client.

Change the DMARC policy of many domains

In MSP console → Domains, select the domains and click Change policy. This creates one draft with a change for each domain whose DMARC record is hosted and delegated. Domains that cannot take the change are listed with the reason. Publish the draft from DNS changes. See Hosted DMARC and SPF records.
