Domain States
Each domain in DMARC Examiner has a state that reflects its current verification and monitoring status. There are four possible states.
Verified
Domain ownership has been confirmed via a DNS TXT record. The domain is fully active and receiving DMARC reports. Reports are processed automatically as they arrive from email providers.
Pending
The domain has been added but DNS verification is not yet complete. This is the initial state after adding a new domain. The system periodically checks for the required DNS TXT record. Once the record is detected and validated, the domain moves to the Verified state.
Failed
The DNS verification attempt failed. The required TXT record was not found or was incorrect at the time of the check. You can retry verification from the domain detail page after correcting the DNS record.
Expired
The domain's verification has expired and needs to be re-verified. This can happen if DNS records are removed or modified after the domain was originally verified. Re-add the required TXT record and trigger a new verification to restore the domain to the Verified state.
