DKIM Selector
Use this selector to verify your DKIM configuration for IONOS.
Verify DKIM recordSetup Steps
- 1Log in to IONOS and open the DNS settings of your domain
- 2If IONOS manages your DNS, SPF and DKIM are set up automatically. Check that the "IONOS SPF (TXT)" record exists and add it from the suggested records if it is missing
- 3If another provider manages your DNS, add include:_spf-eu.ionos.com to your SPF record. Accounts on ionos.com (US) use include:_spf-us.ionos.com instead
- 4For DKIM with external DNS, add three CNAME records: s1-ionos._domainkey to s1.dkim.ionos.com, s2-ionos._domainkey to s2.dkim.ionos.com and s42582890._domainkey to s42582890.dkim.ionos.com
- 5Allow up to 48 hours for propagation, then verify the records
Last step: publish a DMARC record. It sends you a daily report of every message sent as your domain, including the ones from IONOS.

Which SPF include does IONOS use, _spf-eu or _spf-us?
It depends on where your IONOS contract is. The European help pages use include:_spf-eu.ionos.com and the US page uses include:_spf-us.ionos.com. They publish different IP ranges, so the wrong one makes SPF fail.
Do I need to add the DKIM records if my domain uses IONOS DNS?
No. IONOS adds them automatically. The three CNAME records are only needed when another provider manages your DNS zone.
