How to Add DMARC, SPF & DKIM in CDmon

Spanish domain registrar and hosting provider.

How to fill in the host field

In the Subdominio field, enter only the prefix without your domain: @ for the root of your domain, _dmarc for DMARC and <selector>._domainkey for DKIM.

SPF, DKIM and DMARC records

SPFType: TXTHost: @ (root of the domain)

CDmon allows only one SPF record per domain. For CDmon email, the recommended value is v=spf1 include:_spf.srv.cat ~all.

Generate SPF record
DKIMType: TXT or CNAME, depending on your email serviceHost: <selector>._domainkey

CDmon hosting signs email with DKIM by default. For another email service, add its DKIM record with the CNAME or TXT/SPF type.

Check DKIM
DMARCType: TXTHost: _dmarc

CDmon suggests v=DMARC1; p=none; aspf=s; adkim=r on _dmarc as a starting value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does CDmon add SPF and DMARC for me?

In January 2024, CDmon added SPF and DMARC records automatically for customers who use CDmon DNS. Check the TXT/SPF records of your zone before you add new ones, so you do not end up with two SPF records.

Can I use the CDmon DNS panel if my domain uses other nameservers?

No. The domain must use the CDmon nameservers to work with the DNS panel. If it uses external DNS, create the same records at that provider.

How long do CDmon DNS changes take?

A new record takes about five minutes to work. A change of nameservers can take up to 24 hours.
